09.24.2010 National Public Lands Day
This Saturday is also National Public Lands Day. If cleaning up our waterways is not your thing, you can volunteer to improve our land:
Volunteers build bridges and trails, improve habitat for wildlife, plant trees, remove invasive plants that threaten fragile natives, protect natural, historic and cultural resources—and much more.
Volunteers work in parks and forests, at rivers, lakes, and wetlands, at cultural and historic sites and in their own neighborhoods.

Please visit the National Public Lands Day’s website.
When: Saturday, September 25, 2010
Time and Locations: Visit NPLD’s Website
Improving our community can be made any time and it does not require a special day out of the year.
