11.20.2010 Omd Carnival Recap

We had a lot of fun at the OMD carnival. We had a few people come to our PCC Seeds of Change Club booth and the majority of the people never heard of seed balls.

It was fun to demonstrate and explain the reasoning behind seed balls and many people couldn’t believe how simple the concept was. If you would like to make your own seed balls at home or in your community, please visit http://www.pccseedsofchange.com/2010/11/18/how-to-make-seed-balls/

Our seed mixture contained the following:

  • Sisyrinchium bellum
  • Clarkia unguiculata
  • Artemisia californica
  • Allium canadense
  • Gaillardia aristata

Unfortunately, many folks who visited our booth had associated compost and dirt as unsanitary and as a taboo. This showed a disconnect between our society and the natural world. Several people that came by were highly supportive of the concept and our goals at PCC.

Below are some pictures from the club booth.
