Meeting Tuesday, March 15 Recap

We discussed fundraising options, but the argument came up that we should figure out exactly what our events will be this semester, and how much it will cost. Some ideas were thrown around, but nothing solid came out. We later decided to get our hands in some soil, which you can check out below:

Meeting outside

We cut down the cover crops and prepared the soil for planting.

Maggie, our club vice-president, and others members got into the spirit of planting. That is some beautiful soil.

03.26.2011 Fruit Tree Giveaway Recap

The fruit tree giveaway at Milagro Allegro Community Garden was an over success. Within a matter of minutes, hundreds of trees were passed out including over 40,000 seedlings. Yet the line of people grew even when the last tree was given out.

I want to thank Milli Macen-Moore and Brenda Quintero from Milagro Allegro for their donation of 5 fruit trees. We plan on planting them on campus and hope to bring many bushels of fresh fruit to students.
