Did you know Pasadena has its own seasonal river? The Arroyo Seco is considered the birthplace of Pasadena and is currently the focus of intense restoration efforts. Experts from the Arroyo Seco Foundation, including Tim Brick managing director of the Arroyo Seco Foundation and immediate past chair of the board of directors for the Metropolitan Water District, will be visiting Caltech this Thursday to discuss this iconic waterway that flows by JPL, the Rose Bowl, and the Pasadena Freeway. This talk will cover topics including river restoration, water resources, local water history, and current hot issues in natural resource management. We will also discuss opportunities to visit the Hahamongna Watershed Park, an area that feeds the Arroyo Seco, and how you can aid restoration efforts.
Get involved. Come!! Invite others!
