03.03.2012 Gabrielino Trail Hike

In a few weeks, the Arroyo Seco Foundation is organizing a hike along the Arroyo Seco in Pasadena. Tim Martinez (Seeds member) will be leading the hike. Please bring some water and snacks.

Travel one of the region’s most ancient routes as we hike along and explore the reopened Gabrielino Trail in the Northern Arroyo Seco.

See firsthand the recovery of the Angeles National Forest since the devastating Station Fire. Join Tim Martinez, ASF Outreach Coordinator, in identifying native plants, such as the fire-follower Deerweed, and in discussing local history as we travel North on the ruins of the 1920’s road to old Camp Oak Wilde.

Bring water and snacks. We will walk to Gould Mesa, approximately two miles from the trailhead. Park in the parking lot next to the intersection of Windsor Ave and Ventura St, Altadena, CA.
