04.18.2012 Sustainable Living Week 2012
Join the ASPCC Sustainability Committee as we kick off our third annual Sustainable Living Week, April 24-26 with tabling of local organizations and hands-on DIY projects in the quad. Network with friends like the Arroyo Seco Foundation and see what you can do locally, within your community, for the environment and social justice.
Continuing our sustainability documentary series, we will be screening “Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead” Tuesday evening in the Circadian at 6PM, and “If a Tree Falls” Thursday evening in R122 at 6PM.
This event is free and brought to you by ASPCC and the Student Activity Fee :)
See you there!
04.16.2012 Achieving Financial Reform
La Gran Limpieza: The Great Los Angeles River Cleanup is a wonderful opportunity to make a positive impact on the Los Angeles River revitalization effort and on the environment. Trash from the entire Los Angeles River Watershed collects in the tributaries and main river channel. The trash then flows down to Long Beach polluting not only your neighborhood, but the Pacific Ocean.
You will have fun, meet like minded friends, and gain a sense of ownership of the river. Please bring boots, gloves, sunscreen, and all your friends.

04.15.2012 Pasadena Earth and Arts Festival 2012
We had a great time at the Pasadena Earth and Arts Festival 2012. We talked to Fair Trade Pasadena and how our campus can become a fair trade in a fair trade town.
Bike San Gabriel Valley handed out fliers for the Pasadena City College iBike program.
Our friends at the Arroyo Seco Foundation, NELA Transition and Pasadena Learning Gardens provided important information on sustainability movements in Pasadena. They all said that they would be at our Sustainable Living Week at PCC.
